Creating a YouTube account is fairly simple and intuitive. 

First you have to visit www.youtube.com and click on the 
'create account' blue button in the upper right corner of 
the screen. 

Since YouTube was bought by Google in 2006, by creating 
a new YouTube account you'll be creating a new Google 
account at the same time. 

The whole procedure is very straightforward. 

Now that you are on the registration page, all you have 
to do is to enter your personal information and details 
on the right. 

First enter your name in the top two forms.

Next, proceed below and enter your Google username. 

This step is entirely up to you. 

You can enter any username that you like as long as it's 
not taken by someone else (the site will notify you if 
it is). 

You can use letters, numbers and periods. 

Just below the username entry form is the password entry 
form where you have to enter some password that you came 
up with. 

The password has to be at least 8 characters long. 

Next, enter your date of birth, your gender and your mobile 
phone (this is for security reasons but you can also leave 
this field empty). 

Also, enter your current email address. This is important 
so that Google can contact you in case of an unusual 
activity on your account.

In the final two steps you have to enter the captcha symbols 
to prove that you're a human and click the 'I agree to the 
Google TOS and Privacy Policy' checkbox (if you agree). 

The checkbox below that (Google may use my account 
information to personalize +1 content...) is optional. 

At this point, all you have to do is to click the 'next 
step' button. 

This will open a new page where you can edit your profile 
(add profile photo) or just continue to the next step. 

If you've clicked the 'next step' you'll be forwarded to 
the welcome page where you can see your new email address 
and click on the 'back to YouTube' button bellow.

Once you click on the 'back to YouTube' button, you will 
be redirected to the YouTube homepage where you will be 
notified that you are now registered with YouTube. 

The sign-up process is now complete and you have full access 
to your new YouTube account.
